Oh yes, hello there, Hello Kitty! I couldn’t have been happier when I found out that Hello Kitty Cafe was coming to town. I made sure that I clicked on “going” to their Facebook event post and I even marked it on my planner (oh yes, I am using a paper bound planner still). Any little girl would love Hello Kitty. When I was a kid, I was a fan (honestly, even until now) of Sanrio characters (creator of Hello Kitty). From Hello Kitty, Kerokerokeroppi (which is now Keroppi), Zashikibuta and Little Twin Stars! My childhood wouldn’t have been complete without Sanrio.
On March 4th, 2017, the Hello Kitty Cafe truck parked all day in Town Square, Las Vegas. from 10 am to 8 pm, or until their supplies lasted. I got out from work at 3 pm and I was so excited to see them, I asked my handsome Hubby/Driver to take me directly there.
My husband, dropped me off as he was looking for parking. I went live on my Instagram as I was approaching the Hello Kitty Cafe truck. The crowd was growing so fast as there were approximately 300 people in line. Well, I would be there too grabbing some Hello Kitty goodies as well had I only arrived sooner.
The crowd was mostly adults with their little ones in tow or leading the way. Some were already sitting on the ground being as patient as little ones can be. Honestly, from near the van I couldn’t see the end of the line. I had a chance to meet the wonderful team lead despite her busy schedule. As she took a quick minute to tell me there’s a possibility they won’t even reach until the anticipated 8 pm closing time since they’re running low on stock already. Based upon the crowds I saw, that doesn’t surprise me at all.
